- Memories of SI go back to 1957 when I was at Flemming with Mrs. Williams. I remember the "twirlies" and swinging round and round to the point of Dizzy! Bet you'd never see those things on school playgrounds today!

- I remember (don't you dare laugh) Bunga the jungle boy in our grade 4 geography book.

- In grade 5 we had Miss Ford and I remember having great giggle fits with Gerri Blackburn and Miss Ford blamed Earl Bepperling.

- Mr. McBurney in Grade 6 at the "new" queen e building. Mr. Doddridge was principal.

- For those of us who graduated in 1966, Grade 7 meant romance! For Miss Evans and Mr. Hokanssen (who live in Burlington). And I remember a few of us had our own little crushes in those days too! Miss Evans had us create a Class Scrapbook. Does anyone remember the Fossil hunt at Moisie Beach?

- We lived at the Airport and I remember great times down at the beach, bonfires, splashing in the waves. The water was so cold and soooo salty.

- Those of you who still live in Sept Iles will not (probably) remember it as idealistically as I do, but it was a great place to grow up.

- Remember Mr. Dawson and his unique way of teaching the irregular verbs with his illustrated story of L'Histoire d'une Pauvre Mouche? And how he clobbered us on the head with his 75 lb. binder?

- Remember Wayne Grady and the Happy Friday Bug? That was in Grade 11 I think. And Mr. Hartwick who got so torqued about the smoking at the North East corner that he cancelled the prom? I think that was grade 10 (or 1965).

- There were good times. If you were in my peer group, why not share some of your memories? I liked Tom Blackburn's entry. He talked about School Dances.

- Now, I have been married for 31 years. Happily...to one great man who is warm and compassionate , a great dad to our two daughters and a loving son-in law to my parents. We are not and never will be flush in the finance department, but we've had all of our needs and most of our wants as well as good health and wonderful friends.

- I enjoy my job, my colleagues and my free time at home. Hobbies (still) are reading, movies, music and the "Y" where I try to work out at least 3 times a week, but often fail in that attempt.

- Our oldest daughter works for a Pet Care insurance company and still works at home. Our younger daughter has been married since '98 and works for a Human Insurance Company as a claims rep. Both of our daughters and our son-in-law are a joy to us.

- We are pet lovers and currently have two cats and a cockatiel (who whistles but does not talk.)

- I am as chatty as I always was and hope to hear from some former Queenie students. I'm particularly looking for Marguerite Camus! My email address is : office@brantbible.org. Email me :)
