It began with a special request for a pink, dressed rat....
...and solidified with a

which I named the "Ginger Rogers" because of its full, beautiful skirt, perfect for swirling about!
This stunning feathered gown and wrap
are by
Carol Heatherly.
And climaxed with
that would make any rat swoon!

And so, she steps out of the darkness onto the brightly lit dance floor...
Ginger R. Bratbie...
a rat created to honor
Ginger Rogers, the dance legend!

The doorman accepts her lovely wrap and she glides towards her waiting dance partner...

The gown has a fitted bodice and a full, sweeping skirt finished all around with a feather boa. Black sequins sparkles along the top edge, with long trains swaying behind her, finished with black beads.
Because the fabric has a bit of stretch to it, it's perfect for dancing... and showing off your Barbie-like figure!

All eyes are on her, and she knows it! She winks at her adoring fans as Fred twirls her about the room!
Her black ribbon choker holds a lovely seed bead pendant with elegant, gold-tone wire work, perfectly matching her earrings, all created by Sheri Fleischauer!
Like all my rats and Bratbies, Ginger is fully poseable, built over a wire armature. She stands at about 8" in a sparse, wavy, pink, German mohair with ultrasuede hand painted ears, safety lock eyes, Fimo fangs, hand embroidered two-tone nose, horsehair whiskers, pink Fimo claws and shimmering chocolate brown fingers. Her tail is an upholstery fabric, as are her front paws while the soles of her feet are a deep brown faux leather. She's stuffed with polyester fiberfil and glass beads, and lots and lots of love!
And remember, Ginger Rogers could do everything Fred Astaire did... but backwards and in high heels!!!
Ginger Bratbie was a special order and therefore is adopted.
