Fotrol

Fotrol is a foam control / antifoam agent which can break down foam bubbles and prevent foam liquids from foaming. Fotrol creates a weakness in the wall of the foam bubble, causing the bubble to collapse.

Applications

1. Fire Fighting
The use of fire fighting foam during a fire can cause several problems after the fire has been extinguished. One concern is how to get rid of the foam that is still hanging around. The other is of much more importance: foam solution which finds itself draining into sewer systems could cause problems downstream as the solution enters waste water treatment plants. Excess foaming could cause problems in waste water treatment plants when treating the solution.

Starting values for Fotrol should be 50 ppm or less, or about 500 ml of Fotrol for every 1000 litres of foam solution.

2. Hazmat
Fotrol
can be used in chemical spill situations where it might be necessary to reduce or control any foaming.

Starting values for Fotrol should be 50 ppm or less, or about 500 ml of Fotrol for every 1000 litres of chemical spill.

3. Industrial

Fotrol
is suitable for various industrial production process where it is necessary to control foaming. Fotrol is insoluble in most systems, allowing it to remain active over a much longer period of time.

Fotrol is available in 4 litres plastic bottles. (packaged in 4 bottles per case)

This product is biodegradable, non-corrosive and poses minimum risk to the environment.
