The 2007-2008 scouting year will be another banner year for the 1st Candiac Scout Troop. This year, we lost many of our senior members to the newly formed venturer company, giving the next generation a chance to get into leadership roles. This year, we have 15 scouts, 9 of which are new to the troop.

Our troop continues to meet with great success in all its achievements.  We once again have placed in the top 5 troops at the 2007 Tri-District Camp.

Our scouts are youths who enjoy spending time learning about themselves and their community. However, our greatest passion lies in exploring the outdoors and discovering the wonders of the natural world. Hiking, canoeing and pioneering are but an infinitely small part of our total scouting experience. Equally important aspects of scouting are leadership, teamwork, responsibility, personal development and a sense of identity.

We welcome all youth who have a desire to learn the art of the scout.
