Marc Ahr is an artist, who is widely liked and known - having been interviewed by several different T.V. networks (France 2, CTV, Canada,NBC, CNN...).

His art is mixed between the cityscapes of New York, Paris, San Francisco, Sydney, Saint-Petersburg, Moscow, Tokyo, and the excitement of contemporary events - in particular sporting ones.

He has had a lifelong interest and continued presence at large sporting events, in particular the Olympic Games.  This began 16 years ago with Alberville (1992), followed by Barcelona (1992), Lillehammer (1994), Atlanta (1996), Paralympics' (1996), Nagano (1998), Football World Cup 1998 in France, Sydney (2000), Salt Lake City (2002), Paralympics (2002), Athens (2004), Paralympics (2004), Turin (2006), Paralympics (2006).
The forthcoming Beijing Olympics will be his 10th occasion and his second time in Asia.

Who knows? You may be lucky enough to be seated next to him, and see Marc deftly paint the participants, their teams, the referees, the crowd with their flags.  However everything moves quickly at the Olympics, and Marc is no exception.    Marc aims to complete his sketches in time with the race's winner to add their autograph trackside.  This makes a unique memory of the event, which Marc sells as paintings or T-shirts.


So like the athletes he needs to be in good form!
