What does the Association do?
Incorporated in February 1988, it has enlisted so far over 1200 members.
It regroups all the descendants of Pierre de Saint-Pierre (who came to Canada in 1664) and his wife, Marie Gerbert.
It published for its members a quartely information Bulletin, "Le de Sainct pierre" containing valuable informations on genealogy and on the History of our Family, its origin, etc.
It organizes an Annual Reunion for its members and their friends in different places where our ancestors have lived or where many of their descendants have settled.
It has organized, in May 1991,1994, 1998 and 2002, interesting trips to different France regions and particularly to Normandy and Bretagne where our ancestors came from, Holland, Belgium and Luxembourg.
Two of its charter members have published interesting books about our family namely a "Repertory of over 10,500 St-Pierre families", all descendants of our common ancestors, and a "History of the Saint-Pierre Family in Canada and France", spanning six centuries from 1393 to 1993.
It offers the members the possibility of acquiring different souvenirs: our Family pin, our Coat of Arms, T-shirts, former quartely Bulletins, etc.
It has erected a monument in Saint-Roch-des-Aulnaies on the ancient domaine of Pierre de Saint-Pierre. A street of the village now bears our ancestor's name since our first family Reunion there in 1989.
It has placed a "plaque-souvenir" in Saint-Pierre's church at Gouy, Normandie, and also in Sainte-Perpetue's church at Sainte-Perpetue de l'Islet. Also a "plaque-souvenir" was place on an ancestor's farm at Princeville.
The Association is a member of "La Federation des familles-souches quebecoises inc.", thus benefiting from the many advantages offered by this Federation which regroups more than 160 family associations.
The annual fees are only 25,00 $.
