The Westmount Fire Department celebrated its centennial in 1992. This department provides first responder and fire protection services to the City of Westmount, a community of 20,000 inhabitants covering 3.96 square kilometres on the slope of Westmount Mountain on the Island of Montreal. Westmount is surrounded by the City of Montreal. Mutual aid comes from the Big Six (From Peter Laws) group.
