Where the Stars come out at night
 
Since the winter of 1997, when the chat room first opened, 
#over40's has been a genuine community on IRC.
Like any small town, a lot happens in 3 years.  Many, many strong and lasting friendships 
have been built, as well as a few legendary romances, and a marriage or two.

Children and grandchildren have been born, there have been lots of real time visits, a 
couple of divorces, and sadly two deaths among us.

The pages of this website can tell you some information about our history, and 
tell you about some of these events, but only being in the room can show 
you the laughter and warmth.
Although a lot quieter now and not open as often, #over40's is still a friendly and 
comfortable place to meet new people, and visit with old friends. 
The connections remain strong, and the NEWS section of this site can help us keep 
in touch when we can't be in the room.
